Our Mission, Vision, and Values

Vision

We want to be where the good life in Denmark begins.

For all our students.

Mission

We aim to provide our students with the best possible language skills to become active members of society.

This means that we teach not only the Danish language, but also Danish culture, traditions, democracy, and local community life.

We prepare our students to engage in the communities they encounter – at their workplaces and places of study, in childcare settings, in their neighbourhoods, and in voluntary and community organisations.

Core Task

We facilitate that each student acquires the Danish language and an understanding of Danish society.

Values

We are welcoming and embrace diversity. We are professional in our work and learn from our mistakes. Each staff group works with the students' best interests at heart. This forms the foundation for collaboration across professional roles.

We place strong emphasis on integrity, professional expertise, and pedagogical development. Several times a year, we set aside time to explore professional topics together.

How We Work

We work in strong, self-managed teams, where we learn from, support, and complement one another, and make decisions together. We also collaborate across teams and professional roles to create the best possible learning and working environment.

All our teachers hold relevant bachelor’s or master’s degrees and are additionally qualified to teach Danish as a second language to adults.

We build bridges between people – and to Danish society and the labour market. We teach adults from all over the world, from students with little or no formal education to highly educated professionals. This requires a high degree of flexibility in our teaching.

Our teaching is therefore organised flexibly in terms of time, place, and format, always with the individual student's progress in mind.
